Excellent Radio 107.9 FM - KYXZ-LP

KYXZ is a Low Power Community Radio Station based in Grover Beach, California. The station is a project of United Way of San Luis ObispoCounty and is on the air daily at 107.9 FM from 10AM-6AM, operating at 100 watts. We feature live, local DJ’s who play everything from jazz to reggae, blues to reggae, psychedelic soul, 70’s music, oldies and a show that often features surf music hosted by the man who wrote “Wipe Out!” The station also features community affairs programs and a mind expanding playlist curated by the former editor-in-chief of the international music magazine, “Sound Choice.”
