Jefferson Public Radio's flagship station, KSOR, was established in 1969 on the campus of Southern Oregon University (SOU) in Ashland, Oregon. From a tiny 10-wattstudent run station, KSOR evolved to become a regional public radio service reaching over 1 million potential listeners in a 60,000-square-mile area of Southern Oregon and Northern California via the largest translator network in public radio. As KSOR has grown, it has developed a network of satellite radio stations and now goes by the name Jefferson Public Radio (JPR), making reference to the mythical State of Jefferson, which roughly corresponds to the listening area served by JPR. JPR is owned and operated by Southern Oregon University and extends the University's regional educational mission by promoting lifelong learning and fostering the development of the human creative and intellectual spirit in the region. ------ Shows: All Things Considered, Car Talk (NPR), NPR's Morning Edition, Weekend All Things Considered, Weekend Edition Saturday, Weekend Edition Sunday, To the Best of our Knowledge, From the Top, Classical 24 with Alison Young, Classical 24 with Bob Christiansen, Classical 24 with Gillian Martin, Classical 24 with Mindy Ratner, Classical 24 with Scott Blankenship, Classical 24 with Ward Jacobson, Classical 24 with John Zech, First Concert, Metropolitan Opera, Millennium of Music, On With the Show, Siskiyou Music Hall, Sunday Baroque ----- Hosts: Michele Norris, Robert Siegel, Melissa Block, Tom Magliozzi, Ray Magliozzi, Renee Montagne, Steve Inskeep, Guy Raz, Scott Simon, Audie Cornish, Jim Fleming, Steve Paulson, Anne Strainchamps, Christopher O'riley, Ji Yong Kim, Des Moines, Bob Christiansen, Gillian Martin, Mindy Ratner, Scott Blankenship, Ward Jacobson, John Zech, Julie Amacher, Alicia Polendey
